Samuel “Sam” Gregory Smoot, age 38, of St. Louisville, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, May 2, 2020, while riding an ATV.
He was born December 12, 1981 in Columbus, Ohio to Gregory D. and Linda J. (Fenneman) Smoot.
Sam loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing in Buckeye Lake, camping with friends and family, or having a cookout. He deeply loved his three precious daughters and spending time with them.
Sam had worked with Asplundh Tree Service for the past twenty years. He was most recently employed with Kwest Civil Construction and Environmental Services in Dublin. For those who knew Sam well, understood he lived life to the fullest and was a friend to everyone. He always had time to help others, enjoyed a good meal and loved to laugh. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Linda J. Reeder and stepfather, Gary L. Reeder of Orient, Ohio; three daughters, Jayvin Smoot, Callie Smoot and Myra Smoot; the mother of his children, Chanda Rapp; sister, Shelly Hamilton; special aunts, Teri (Jim) Wenig, Connie (Clarence) Perry, Jane Fenneman, and Debbie Spruce; uncle, Jeff Smoot; two stepbrothers, Rex Reeder and Michael Reeder; and cousin Amy (Mike) Witting.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Gregory D. Smoot (2018); and an uncle, Michael Fenneman.
The family regrets that no services can be held at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please do leave a memorial note below and share a memory of Sam. These memorials will be printed and released via balloons and lanterns by the immediate family.
