Debra J. Hessbruegge, age 62, of Millersport, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.
She was born June 10, 1957 in Fairbanks, Alaska to the late Jack A. and Ida G. (Gray) Tharp.
Debra enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to camp at Dillon Lake State Park, plant flowers in her garden and bake cookies. She was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Debra was there for her family and always went out her way to help others.
She is survived by two daughters, Tabitha A. (Sean) Gartner and Ashley N. Doss; a brother, John Hessbruegge; three sisters, Heidi Hessbruegge, Jackie Tharp and Tammy Angle; four grandchildren, Jackson Gartner, Vincent Gartner, Alayan Caplinger and Warren Caplinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted father, Horst Josef “Jay” Hessbruegge; and a brother, Don Hessbruegge.
No calling hours or services will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made in Debra’s name to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive, Heath, Ohio 43056.
The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
I have thought of you often especially in the last few days. Your concern and offer to help if you could when Jerry had his stroke meant a lot to me. I am proud to have shared two grandchildren with you. I am proud to have known you. Rest In Peace Debbie.
