A memorial service celebrating the life of Rose “Rosie” Bishop Chambers, age 75, of Newark will be held on Sunday, November 9, at 2 p.m. at The Church of God of Licking County, 2181 Riggs Road, Newark, with Dee Krier officiating.
Rose died peacefully in her home in Newark surrounded by friends and family on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 after a long battle with cancer.
Rose’s career embraced her life purpose, which was to help make people’s lives better. She assisted Dick Love in building his business from six sales people and one office to one hundred sales people and seven offices. Then in 1982, she began her own real estate sales career and was in sales until 1998. She was a member of the Five Million Dollar Sales Club and received numerous awards from each office in which she worked.
After retiring, she and her life partner, Charles Chambers spent six months of the year in Florida where they were members of The Center for Spiritual Living. Rose was a member of the Fairfield Saddle Club and the Ohio Horse Council and had many fond memories trail riding with her horse Pacifico.
Rose is survived by three children, Randy C. (Kim) Lust, Mark A. (Sharon) Lust, and Deborah S. (Jim) Fadley; four grandchildren, Brandi R. (Jamey Fauque) Lust, Robert A. Lust, Jennifer M. Lust, and Alexander D. Lust; two great-grandchildren, Jory S. Lust-George and Sawyer G. Fauque; two nieces, Tammy M. (Mike) Martin and Lisa A. Marvin; a nephew, Ronald H. Marvin; life partner of 22 years, Charles H. Chambers and four step-children, Robert C. Chambers, Charles H. Chambers Jr., Alice B. Machwart and Kevin Bishop.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn M. Marvin; her father, Harold C. Marvin, and beloved brother, Ronald H. Marvin.
