Obituary
Ricky L. McCoy, age 56, of Newark, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his home. He was born December 26, 1953 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Donald McCoy, Sr. and Gaythel Cundiff.

He graduated from Hocking Technical College with a degree in electrical engineering. He was employed by LEADS as a weatherization technician. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Billie McCoy, Andrew (Angela Grady) McCoy and Lori (Steve) Whitt, all of Newark; son-in-law, James Savage of Newark; grandchildren, James, Mercedes, Lexus, Chance, Kiara, Brooklynne, Steve and Saralyn; brothers, Donald McCoy, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla. and Shawn McCoy of Newark; sisters, Patti McCoy of New York and Gwynn (Randy) Gardner of Selah, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara McCoy; brother, Michael McCoy; sister, Rhonda Brown; and his companion, Beth J. McCoy.

At his request there will be no service or calling hours.

The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
